Step 1 - What gear do I need?
One problem people often have is they just don't know what kind of microphone or software or other stuff to buy. This stuff can get REALLY expensive. But you don't need super pricey gear to produce pro audio. I will take the stress out of this whole thing by giving you a gear list that won't break the bank.
Step 2 - How to set up your gear
Another source of stress for folks is figuring out how to connect mics and set up all the gear correctly before recording. Believe it or not, THIS alone can be the cause of bad sounding audio. I will show you how to set it all up!
Step 3 - How to use your gear
I would say that at least half of the bad-audio problem for most people is that they are using the gear incorrectly. I show yhou exactly what to do to get the best sound quality and avoid the common problems that most people make.
Step 3 - How to use the software
There are tons of recording programs out there. I show you how to use 3 common ones - Audacity (which is free!), Reaper, and Adobe Audition - to record AND EDIT your own audio. And I also show you a 4th editing software that is sort of a secret weapon. It saves a ton of time on common editing chores (noise reduction, audio enhancement, etc.) making editing fast and easy.

In fact this course will show you how to use a free software editor (Audacity) in conjunction with a $60 digital audio workstation (DAW) program to do everything you need.

  • Better chance of landing paying voiceover gigs. If you are recording and sending in auditions for VO jobs without getting jobs, it's probably because of your audio quality. It might also help to consider how much you may already have spent on bits of equipment or software that have not had the desired effect.
